Vice President of California State University, Sacramento Visited ZJSU
On October 28th, Fraka Harmsen, Vice President of California State University, Sacramento visited ZJSU. Dai Wenzhan, Vice President of ZJSU met with the foreign guests, Directors of International Office attended the meeting as well.
At first, Dai Wenzhan introduced the general situation of ZJSU and elaborated on the strategy of international development, especially the exchanges and cooperation with American colleges and universities. Dai wished the two sides could establish cooperation through this meeting and put in place both the long-term and short-term exchange programs such as SLPP. Fraka Harmsen also introduced the general situation of Sacramento and expressed that they would push forward the cooperation and establish tangible cooperative programs. The two sides reach consensus in many fields such as the domain and ways of cooperation.
California State University, Sacramento is located in Sacramento, the capital of California, which is known as “the Second Silicon Valley”. Sacramento campus is one of the top campuses of the 23 branches of California State University. There are about 28000 students, including 1000 overseas students from more than 70 countries. The university has 60 bachelor’s degrees and 40 subjects for graduate study, among which, education is the largest subject. The majors such as public policy, economic management, criminology, mass media, psychology and information technology all enjoy a high popularity.
