Gratifying Achievements of the Confucius Institute of ZJSU
Within only two years，the Confucius Institute of ZJSU has made gratifying achievements and is still heading forward in the leading position among other institutes.
Recently, the Confucius Institute of ZJSU hosted a themed activity of Chinese traditional culture in KA Vijverhof High School and West Flanders University in Bruges. A different arrangement of the classroom, numbers of workshop, including Chinese learning and experience courses, Chinese chess lessons, characters calligraphy, magic puzzle, Chinese martial arts, all of these themed classrooms and workshops are warmly welcomed by the laical students.
Multiplied number of Confucius institution students; Chinese entering high school and college curriculum
Through some promotion work (by local media and etc.) in Chinese teaching , Confucius Institute of ZJSU recruited more than 100 Chinese study students within eight months after its establishment; In 2013 , the strategy of developing marketing channels enabled the Confucius Institute of ZJSU to set up 18 Chinese classes of different kinds and benefit 546 students by quality class learning and training, turning into the most influential Confucius Institute with best effectiveness in short term programs and the largest scale of class categories within a year in Belgium .
In particular, early 2014, the Confucius Institute of ZJSU established the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) testing center.
Explore academia and business channels in a wide range; organizing various cultural activities
During these two years, the Confucius Institute of ZJSU quickly found its place among local community, carrying out nearly 20 times language and cultural activities such as: the Spring Festival, Chinese Day, Japanese Day, Chinese calligraphy exhibition, the annual Tomb-Sweeping Day in laborers cemetery ,secondary school principals talkfest , corporate open day, business summit, the Chinese film festival and other activities, providing a new platform for local people to understand Chinese culture.
April this year, the Confucius Institute of ZJSU took full advantage of President Xi Jinping's visit to Bruges, for the first time combined the "International Day" in West-Flanders University and "Confucius Institute Day" as one big festival and held in Bruges for 2 days, preparing and training the Chinese cultural reception manners, hitting a big success.
The fast development and achievements of Confucius Institute of ZJSU has been fully affirmed by Hanban(Confucius Institute Headquarters).
